Dr. Martin P. Paul

Dr. Martin P. Paul is a director, operator, and clinical consultant of Guru Herbal Ayurveda.

He is a highly qualified Ayurvedic practitioner with extensive training and experience in the field. He completed a rigorous 5½-year Ayurveda course at the Government Ayurveda College in Thrippunithura, Kerala. Following his formal education, Dr. Paul received two years of practical training under the esteemed Ayurvedic scholar Vaidyabhooshanam K. Raghavan Thirumulpad.

Dr. Paul has a rich history of practice, beginning in his native village using locally sourced herbs, and extending to various reputable Ayurveda hospitals across Kerala. His professional journey includes significant roles at OUSHADHI, Kerala's largest government-owned Ayurveda medicine manufacturer, and Dr. Sudha Asokan’s Ayurveda Kendra in Delhi.

His expertise has been sought internationally, with Dr. Paul providing consultations and participating in educational programs in countries such as Oman, the UAE, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Singapore, France, Slovenia, and Austria.

Paul James Thattil

Paul James Thattil is a Director of Guru Herbal Ayurveda Centre and is well-regarded for his diverse talents and personal qualities. Born in Thrissur, Kerala, he completed his primary and secondary education locally before pursuing a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Thiagarajar Polytechnic in 1974 and a Diploma in Film Production from Adayar Film Institute in 1977.

A talented actor and art director, Paul James has been recognized as the best actor in various competitions and has produced and directed numerous short films and two Malayalam feature films. In 1984, he moved to Europe, where he became involved in the sociocultural life of Switzerland and Austria while continuing his artistic pursuits in Kerala.

Paul James holds a Diploma in Geriatric Psychology from Caritas Vienna and has worked in psychiatric clinics in Switzerland. He currently resides in Vienna with his family.

Gerald Lopez

Gerald Lopez is a Director of the Guru Herbal Ayurveda Centre. He holds a New Zealand government-accredited Diploma of Ayurvedic Medicine from Wellpark College in Auckland. He was also awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (MindBody Healthcare) by the Auckland University of Technology.

With years of practice in a multimodality clinic, Gerald has gained extensive experience in Ayurveda. He has lectured widely on the subject, authored peer-reviewed articles, and advocated for Ayurveda as a key component of Integrated Medicine.

In addition to his Ayurvedic expertise, Gerald is qualified in Yoga Therapy and has been teaching Yoga classes since 2000. He has also lectured on Yoga philosophy to aspiring Yoga teachers. As the former president of the New Zealand Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Association, Gerald has played a significant role in promoting Traditional and Complementary Medicine (TCAM) in the region.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Gerald Lopez is committed to enhancing individual well-being through his comprehensive knowledge and practice of traditional and integrative MindBody modalities.
